Booking Terms

When a reservation is made online, by telephone or in writing, and accepted, a contract exists between the Guest and the guesthouse.

Our cancellation policy

" Less than 14 days forfeit the full deposit
" From 14 to 21 days forfeit 50% of the deposit
" From 21 to 28 days forfeit 25% of the deposit
" Full deposit will be forfeited for cancellations between 15 December and 5 January
" NO SHOWS will be charged the full accommodation amount.
" The maximum refund value under any circumstances is 80% of the charge.

In terms of Section 17(5) of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, no cancellation fee will be payable in the event of the death or hospitalization of the person for whom, or for whose benefit the booking, reservation or order was made. It is your responsibility to take out appropriate personal travel insurance .

Terms and Conditions

The guest house operates on a Bed & Breakfast basis . 
Rates include accommodation, breakfast and use of the guest lounge's and games room.
Management reserves the right to change rates without notice, rates quoted for confirmed bookings will be honoured.

Reservations and Payment terms
We require a 50% deposit of the total accommodation to secure a reservation. 
The deposit is payable within 48 hours of making the reservation, after which the room allocated to the booking is released for re-sale. 
Payment can be made directly online, or by any of the following means:
o Cash 
o Bank/internet transfer 
o Any bank charges incurred by Mountain View Manor Guest House in relation to international funds transfers are to be met by the guests and will be added to the balance due on departure. 
The outstanding balance is payable on arrival and any additional expenses on departure.

Arrival and Departure Times
Rooms will be available at 14h00 on the day of arrival.
Late or early arrivals must be arranged with management. 
Checkout time must be by 10h30 on the booked day of departure. 
Late departure is at the discretion of management and is dependent on room availability.

General Incapacity
The guest house cannot be held liable if any of the following events or conditions prevents Mountain View Manor Guest House from fulfilling its obligation to guests. However, the guest house will take all necessary steps to minimize disruption and discomfort to guests under these conditions:
Unanticipated interruption to electricity, water, sewage to and from the guest house property. Industrial actions, civil uprising or criminal activity.
Fire, frost, flooding, wind or any other force
